Nov. 1 -- Buckeye Book Fair, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Fisher Auditorium at Ohio Agricultural Research & Development Center, Wooster. Meet authors with ties to Ohio and nationally recognized authors who will autograph books. Purchase books at a discount price; 330-262-3244, www.buckeyebookfair.com.

Nov. 1 -- Season's Splendor Arts & Crafts Show, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Greenbriar Conference & Party Centre, clothing, floral, rugs, baskets, dolls, holiday decor and more. Sponsored by the Wayne County Arts and Crafts Guild, 330-345-5962.

Nov. 5 -- Caregiver Appreciation Luncheon, West Fork Community & Senior Center, 170 Parkview Drive, Millersburg. Registration and relaxation stations, 11-11:30 a.m.; lunch and entertainment, 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.; door prizes and caregiver awards, 12:45-1 p.m. There will be exhibitors, hand massage and other events. Nov. 8-9 -- One-Stop Shop Christmas open house, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Buckeye Event Center, 624 Henry St. (beside P Graham Dunn), Dalton; crafts, food, etc. Free admission.

Nov. 13 -- Soul Detective Dr. Barbara Stone will offer insights into her book "Invisible Roots: How Healing Past Life Trauma Can Liberate Your Present" from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Holmes County District Public Library's public meeting room. A reception and book signing will follow the presentation. Books will be on sale that evening for signing.

Nov. 13 -- World Crafts, Kidron, Holiday open house, 4-8 p.m. Located behind Lehman's Hardware.

Nov. 15-16 -- Quailcrest Farm open house, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday.

Nov. 28 -- Christmas in Berlin, Parade begins at 6 p.m. Live Nativity

Dec. 4-6 -- Kidron Plaza, holiday open house, stores are World Crafts, Lehman's, Hearthside Quilt Shoppe, Eastwood Furniture.

*Mondays: Sugarcreek Cattle Auction -- 102 Buckeye St., Sugarcreek, 330-852-2832; 12:30 p.m. All day flea market, produce and local baked goods being sold on the grounds.

*Tuesdays: Farmerstown Livestock Auction -- SR 557, Farmerstown, 330-897-6081; 12:30 p.m., including flea market items, baked good and in season produce.

*Every third Wednesday: "Project Linus" Quilt Days -- Hearth Side Quilt Shoppe, 13110 Emerson Road, Kidron (behind Lehman's), 330-857-4004, www.HearthsideQuiltShoppe.com; 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; take a project, sewing machine and supplies, or work on one of the shop's; cutting, piecing, knotting and binding; come for a few hours or take your lunch and spend the day; free, but call to sign up.

*Every second Saturday; Ken Miller Supply's Oil, Gas, Car & Truck Museum -- 7945 Shreve Road., Shreve, 330-496-4024 or 330-567-5930; noon-3 p.m.; early gas pumps, drilling machines, trucks, cars and tractors; PA Railroad and Shreve industry display; $5 (12 and under, free; historical society members, half-price); benefit County Line Historical Society.

Museums

WOOSTER -- The Wayne County Historical Society Museum, 546 E. Bowman St., is open Wednesday-Sunday from 2-4:30 p.m. and for group tours by appointment. For more information call 330-264-8856. The "Quilting Heritage of Wayne County" exhibit will be open through Nov. 2. Exhibit hours are Wednesday-Sunday, 2-4:30 p.m.

-- "The Nature Photography of Steve Shapiro" and "Consciously Accidental: Photographs by Joel Eric Geiser" at Wayne Center for the Arts; 330-264-2787.

KILLBUCK -- Killbuck Valley Museum, Front Street, is open Saturday-Sunday, 1-4 p.m. A small entry fee is charged. Call Helen Smith, 330-377-4572.

SMITHVILLE -- Mishler Mill and Gift Shop, 381 E. Main St., is open Wednesdays, 1:30-4 p.m.

MILLERSBURG -- The Victorian House Museum is open Tuesday-Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Featured in 2008 is a private collection of Fredericksburg Pottery. The display will be open until Oct. 31. Self-guided tours with paid admission. Visit www.victorianhouse.org or call 330-674-0022 for more information.

MOUNT EATON -- The Mount Eaton-Paint Township Historical Society is open the second Saturday of each month, May-November from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., or by appointment. The museum is located on the square of Mount Eaton at 8625 S. Main St.

KIDRON -- The Kidron Sonnenberg Heritage Center, located just west of the square, is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. or by appointment. Tour buses are welcome. The museum features a gift shop, many artifacts from as early as 1819, a genealogy computer and library and the annual display, "CommuniTree." For more information call 330-857-9111. Admission is free but donations are appreciated.

Dances

WOOSTER -- Cedar Valley Cloggers meet at the Wayne Center for the Arts on the third Thursday of each month from 7-9 p.m.

WOOSTER -- Gnat Boxer Square Dance Club meets the first and third Saturdays of each month with dancing from 8-10:30 p.m. at the Wooster YMCA, 680 Woodland Ave. For more information call Dick Mackey, 330-264-2725.

WOOSTER -- Bud Grabbe and the Roadrunners perform Fridays from 7:30-11:30 p.m. at Lazy "B" Campground, 8375 Friendsville Road. A $5 per couple or $3 single donation is asked for but not required. Dancing for people of all ages.

MARSHALLVILLE -- Tri-County Country Band at Caskey's Campground, Fosnight Road, Saturdays, 7-11 p.m. The dance is smoke- and alcohol-free. A $5 per couple, $3 single donation is asked for but not required.

NEW PITTSBURG -- Country dances are held each Saturday at Country Pointe, 3071 S. Elyria Road, from 7-11 p.m. A $5 per couple, $3 single donation is asked for but not required. This is a nonalcoholic and nonsmoking public event. For more information call 330-264-8548.
