August 1 & 2 Holmes County Steam & Engine Show - The Steam and Engine show is annually held the first weekend in August. The show features a Horse Pull on Thursday evening and Steam Engine and Antique Tractor activities throughout the weekend. Starts at 8:00 a.m. both days. Mt. August 2 Ohio Mennonite Relief Sale - This yearly event is sponsored by the Mennonite Central Committee and is a huge event to raise funds for education, food and relief for people around the world. Sale will be held at the Central Christian High School, North from Lehman's Hardware on County Road 52.

August 7, 14, 21, 28 Berlin Auction House Weekly Sale - Starts at 4pm. This auction house recently opened and is located beside the Farmstead Restaurant in Berlin. August 9 Progressive Meal Tour in 3 Amish Homes - This tour includes breakfast, lunch and evening meal in 3 different amish homes. August 23 Holmes County Farm Tour - all day event. Begin at the Holmes County Fairgrounds. Free, drive-yourself tour showcasing scenic southwestern Holmes County. Map, directions, and questionnaire will be handed out at the fairgrounds and each of the 9 other designated stops. Farms, organizations, and businesses representing beef, goats, milk cows, sheep, llamas, bees, alpacas, hay operation, vineyard, Amish woodworking operation and nature retreat. August 30 Ohio Haiti Benefit Auction - This is co-operative effort of many churches and individuals to bring relief to the hungry, the sick, the naked, and the homeless people of Haiti. Our ultimate goal is to bring them to Christ. Relief is given without regard to race, religion, color or creed. The Haiti Beneift Auction is held once a year on Labor Day weekend.
