Geology Series Plate Tectonics

Where: The Wilderness Center, Wilmot

Naturalist Lynda Price will use maps, lots of rocks, and Power Point programs to explore the exciting world of geology! Come to one or all three of these free classes, which are geared for adults and sponsored by the TWC Geology Club.

Registration is suggested in order to contact participants if hazardous weather cancels the program. (These programs may be appropriate for interested youth age 11 and up; however, please note that the information will be presented at an adult level.)

Foxfield Info Session

When: 2 p.m.

Where: The Wilderness Center, Wilmot

Foxfield Preserve is a nature preserve cemetery at TWC. Natural burial is an economical, environmentally friendly alternative to modern burial, as fewer resources are used. As a nature preserve, we provide wildlife habitat, a clean watershed, and clean air. Walking trails allow the community to enjoy beauty and serenity of the preserve. A natural burial at Foxfield Preserve leaves a permanent legacy for your family, community, and the natural world. Free info session.

Contra Dance

Instruction at 7:15 p.m., dance 7:30-10:30 p.m. An evening of New England longways set dances plus English country dance. Beautiful Celtic music by Pocketful o' Gimmick. Summer Days Winter Reunion

When: 1-3 p.m.

Where: The Wilderness Center, Wilmot

Attention Summer Days Participants! Did you enjoy learning about the outdoors with your child this summer in Summer Days Enrichment? Now you can learn about the joys of the outdoors in winter! We will spend part of the afternoon on an outdoor hike and part inside for activities. Hot chocolate provided! Wear warm clothes in layers, a winter coat, a warm hat, mittens, and waterproof boots. Unless it's bitter cold, we'll spend up to 50 minutes at a time outdoors. When you register, please include a phone number so we can call you if we cancel because of hazardous winter travel.

Please join us for our winter reunion. It is a great time to explore the outdoors because you can leave the bug spray at home! $4/member child/adult pair, $6/ nonmember child/adult pair, $2/extra adult or child member or non-member.
