Enter...Spring?

Travelers across Ohio are clinging to their hope that spring is just around the corner. Even though the faithful groundhog reportedly didn't see his shadow last month, it appears that blustery Ohio winter weather will never end.

The good news is that the temperature has recently peaked above 15F. However, a "warmer" climate doesn't necessarily stop the snow from coming.

A record 40F broke a few weeks ago, offering bright rays and very mild temperatures to lighten everyone's spirits. But this can mean one of two things: either spring is actually coming or Mother Nature is teasing us yet again.

Ohioans, especially northeast Ohians, received yet another taste of their typical winter/spring weather mix with heavy wet snow and freezing ice only last Sunday evening. What was once pretty and magical pre-Christmas is now torturous and despised.

I can recall quite a few beginning weeks of March that came with the "tail-ends" of winter and even a few blizzards. But the nearly 60 degree temperatures triggered Spring Fever and now, I just don't think I can endure anything that winter has left.

I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say that, yes we may be used to this, but please let it be over soon.

Thankfully we all have our hope to cling to as we continue to scrap our cars and pack on the layers.

Spring is supposedly due in twenty days, however unlikely that seems. Hang in there Ohio travelers...the end has to be in sight.
