Mt. Hope Steam and Engine Show

When: Gates open at 9 a.m.; see daily schedule for event times

The steam engines at the show will be kept busy powering a sawmill, threshing machines, power-eater, Baker fans, steam engine games, and spark shows at night. Corrine Horner's children's activities will be going on throughout the show. Also be sure to check out the new sawmill in action for the first time this year! Ohio Mennonite Relief Sale

When: Fri, 4 p.m.; Sat, 7 a.m.

Where: Buckeye Event Center, 624 Henry St, Dalton

Sale runs Friday-Saturday until all auctions are finished. Sale booths and food booths will open at 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon. Friday evening music program starts at 6:30 p.m. featuring Holmes County Bluegrass and the Loren Glick Family. Antiques in the Alley

Rain or shine, located throughout the village of Millersburg, the alleys, sidewalks and courthouse lawn will be packed with antique dealers, crafters and craft demonstrators. Unique items: garden accents, salvage items, primitive folk art, fall flowers, furniture and much more. Fair-style food vendors and chicken BBQ are available along with local eateries. Holmes County Fair

Mt. Hope Weekly Livestock Auction

When: 11:30 a.m.

Where: Mt. Hope Auction Barn; 8076 SR 241, Mt. Hope

Amish and non-Amish bring their animals to market every Wednesday year round. Observers will see very old-fashioned carts and wagons and horses and buggies coming and going from the market. During fair weather flea market vendors sell their wares on the outside. A large building also provides shelter for flea market vendors and shoppers. Flea market opens at 7 a.m., Hay Auction and Produce Auction begin at 10 a.m., Livestock Sale begins at 11:30 a.m. and the Poultry Sale begins at 1 p.m. During the summer, small animals such as ducks, chickens, geese, turkeys, rabbits, etc. are sold.

Half Stitched: The Musical

Based on the novel by Wanda Brunstetter, a group of mismatched strangers come together to attend the Amish Quilting Club. Amish widow, Emma Yoder, finds herself not only teaching the most unlikely group of Englishers the art of quilting, but also helping each one through their life struggles. There's Star, a young woman yearning for stability; Pam and Stuart Johnston, a struggling couple at odds in their marriage; Paul Ramirez, a young widower hoping to find solace in finishing a quilt; Jan. Sweet, a rough and tough biker doing some creative community service; and Ruby Lee Williams, a preacher's wife looking for relaxation when parish problems mount. Where: Victorian House Museum, 484 Wooster Rd., Millersburg

Visit Victorian House for Paranormal Nights. Event limited to 15 people per session. Session dates include July 20, August 24, September 28, and October 19. Evening begins at Castle Club Banquet Center at 8 p.m. with pizza and stories of the house's history will be shared. A paranormal investigation team will guide participants through an actual investigation in the mansion. The event ends at midnight. Participants must be over 18. $50 per person.
