Have you ever wanted to spend a weekend in the Amish Heartland completely enveloped in the peaceful atmosphere? When you choose to stay at Holmes With A View a panoramic view of the beautiful rolling countryside of Ohio's Amish Country is a guarantee.

John and Fannie Mae Miller own and operate Holmes With A View in Millersburg, Ohio. Before obtaining ownership in January 2013, the Millers were directly involved in the business. John aided in the construction of the buildings and both Fannie Mae and John took over management while the owners, Paul and Miriam Grossi, were away. When Paul and Miriam were ready to retire they offered the business to John and Fannie Mae. Leaping at the opportunity, John and Fannie Mae became the owners of the bed and breakfast.

Complete with modern conveniences and appliances, each suite provides the comforts of home. A continental breakfast is stocked within the fully equipped kitchens in every room before the guest's arrival. Private living and dining areas allow couples to unwind and spend time focused on each other. Standard whirlpool tubs offer the perfect ending to a day followed by time spent curled up by the remote controlled gas fireplace.

Each building is divided into two stacked suites, complete with individual wrap-around porches. The buildings offered through Homes With A View are positioned in such a way that one does not interfere with the view of the others. The privacy of a porch provides visitors with the opportunity to witness the peaceful landscape abundant in Amish Country. A guest may witness an Amish man working in his field or a woman hanging out the family wash. From the porch of each suite guests can submerge themselves in the peaceful tranquility of the area.

Holmes With a View is conveniently located amidst the various communities of the Amish Heartland. Positioned with easy access to Millersburg and Berlin, visitors can spend time in both communities. Not sure what you're looking for? Review the list of attractions provided in every suite. Depending on the season, the attractions may vary with the summer months being the most active.

"A lot of people come from one year to the next," says John Miller. Repeat customers are not abnormal at Holmes With A View. Most of the customers who have stayed at the bed and breakfast return with friends who have heard the wonderful stories. The picturesque view, the service and the suites draw visitors from all over the country, some traveling from as far as California. Visitors tend to talk most about the peace and quiet that is enjoyed in the evening hours, especially for those traveling from a city; the seclusion of the suites is a huge benefit.

Due to the popularity of Holmes With A View, reservations should be made at least six months in advance. Patrons should be warned that holidays have a tendency to book up fast and those with a particular date in mind should reserve their space as soon as possible. Valentine's Day weekend is one of the most sought after dates, due to the romantic setting and intimate suites. Every year, there are four times as many calls for reservations than available suites, leading John to believe the business could have a Valentine weekend every other week throughout the winter months. The colorful leaves of Holmes county in the fall encourage the busiest period for Holmes With A View with patrons wanting to spend a couple days among the unrivaled beauty.

Holmes With A View puts the customers comfort and wishes first, offering different specials and possible additions to the regular accommodations. Several specials include vouchers to the area restaurants such as Boyd & Wuthmann's or Carpenter's Caf. Another special focuses on the senior community, including a breakfast at Boyd & Wurthmann's with the price of a suite. Those who book a suite in the middle of the week will also receive a special that includes a certificate for a restaurant as well. Additional specials include a package that allows visitors to create their own wish list. Items on the wish list could include an in suite massage, gift baskets of local products, flowers, chocolates or even groceries stocked in the suite. The Miller's firmly believe the customer's comfort should come first and will be accommodated as much as possible.

Located on 3672 Township Road 154 in Millersburg Oh (44654), Holmes With A View is open for reservations all year around.
