*2 lb. Hamburger

*10 carrots, peeled and sliced

*6 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced

*Salt and pepper

1.In a heavy oven-proof pot, layer a portion of the hamburger (raw) with some of the carrots and then potatoes. When each layer has been completed, salt and pepper and then continue layering. It's better to have several thin layers versus just a few thick ones. Be sure to end with a small amount of hamburger. Sprinkle paprika over the top and cover with a tight-fitting lid.

2.Bake at 350F for at least an hour, or until carrots and potatoes are cooked through and tender. If you have the time, bake it at 250F for 3-4 hours, being careful not to scorch the bottom.
